Our Story

At the young age of 7, Koedi Nealy, a student at Cypress Christian School, was called into ministry. She shared with her parents that God wanted her to use pennies to serve others. Knowing that every penny mattered, Koedi spent her elementary years collecting pennies and talking to God about His plan for her collection. By 8 years old, Koedi recognized a need throughout Houston, TX for the homeless population. Once again, God showed her that just like every penny matters, so does every person. Koedi then began using her pennies to provide “Graced Packs” to people that didn’t have homes. Her goal: to share the love of Jesus to people by meeting their basic needs at the moment.

As a 13 year old, Koedi received help from a local attorney in creating a nonprofit organization: Graced Ministry. Since May 2015, Koedi has used her resources to serve homeless children and adults. With a passion for keeping children involved in the mission field, Graced Ministry empowers its Ambassador Council members to participate in monthly service projects that show Jesus’ love for the homeless.

“Our goal is opposite of what most organizations promote. We aren’t trying to help get people off the streets. We are working to show them that Jesus loves them, and they have a Savior that wants to be their friend,” says Koedi, “We believe that if we can help someone understand the gospel, and call on the name of the Lord, He will do the rest of the work to guide the life of the person in need.”

It is incredible how one small idea can grow into something truly special. Graced Ministry is rooted in the belief that we all have an inherent responsibility to make a meaningful difference in our community. With a variety of active projects and a large volunteer staff, we harness our skills and resources to successfully achieve our goals. Since our founding in 2015, we have been proud to witness how our activities have benefitted the Houston community and beyond.
